1.         DR-1052-08 – VALLEY HOSPITAL MEDICAL CENTER, INC:

DESIGN REVIEW for 3 new walls signs in conjunction with an existing hospital center on 34.5 acres in a C-P (Office and Professional) Zone in the CMA Design Overlay District.  Generally located on the southeast corner of Rainbow Boulevard and Hacienda Avenue within Spring Valley.  Approved 4-0

 

2.         DR-1064-08 – DURANGO MEDICAL PLAZA, LP:

DESIGN REVIEW for a comprehensive sign plan in conjunction with an office building on 4.7 acres in a C-2 (General Commercial) Zone in the MUD-2 and CMA Design Overlay Districts.  Generally located on the north side of Sunset Road, 300 feet east of Durango Drive within Spring Valley.  Approved 4-0

 

3.         DR-1071-08 – RAINSET PROPERTIES, LLC:

DESIGN REVIEW for a retail center on 2.5 acres in a C-2 (General Commercial) (AE-60) Zone in the CMA Design Overlay District.

DESIGN REVIEW for a service station in conjunction with an existing shopping center on 12.0 acres in a C-2 (General Commercial) Zone.  Generally located on the north side of Tropicana Avenue, 250 feet west of Jones Boulevard within Spring Valley.  Denied 3-1 (Plotkin) due to intensity.

 

8.         DR-1442-06 (ET-0306-08) – Nexttack, LLC, Et al:

DESIGN REVIEW FIRST EXTENSION OF TIME to commence construction of an office building on 0.6 acres in a C-2 (General Commercial) Zone in the MUD-4 Overlay District.  Generally located on the east side of Hualapai Way, 600 feet south of Desert Inn Road within Spring Valley.  Approved 4-0

 

9.         VC-1933-93 (ET-0296-08) – NV ENERGY:

VARIANCE FOURTH EXTENSION OF TIME to review a temporary modular office on 4.4 acres in an R-E (Rural Estates Residential) Zone.  Generally located on the north side of Flamingo Road, 600 feet east of Rainbow Boulevard within Spring Valley.  Approved 4-0

 

10.        NZC-1058-08 – ROBINDALE INDUSTRIAL PARK, LLC:

ZONE CHANGE to reclassify 4.1 acres from R-E (Rural Estates Residential) Zone to C-1 (Local Business) Zone for a retail development in the CMA Design Overlay District.

DESIGN REVIEW for a retail development.  Generally located on the west side of Durango Drive between Hacienda Avenue and Mesa Vista Avenue within Spring Valley (description on file). Denied 4-0

 

11.        NZC-1077-08 – JAMD, LLC:

ZONE CHANGE to reclassify 10.0 acres from C-1 (Local Business) Zone to C-2 (General Commercial) Zone for an existing commercial development in the MUD-3 and CMA Design Overlay Districts.  Generally located on the northeast corner of Cimarron Road and Warm Springs Road within Spring Valley (description on file).  This application was due to the current establishment not meeting 50-50 split alcohol vs. food sales.  Denied 3-1 (Plotkin).  The TAB suggested the Applicant await the master plan update.

 

12         UC-1067-08 – HANY BOTROS:

USE PERMITS for the following: 1) reduce the separation between outside dining and residential development; and 2) eliminate the required pedestrian access around the perimeter of the outside dining area on 0.7 acres in a C-2 (General Commercial) Zone.  Generally located on the south side of Flamingo Road, 500 feet east of Rainbow Boulevard within Spring Valley.  Approved 4-0 with live music off at midnight.

 

13.        UC-1080-08 – WILLIAM C. MITCHELL:

USE PERMIT to increase the area of accessory structures in conjunction with a single family residence on 0.8 acres in an R-E (Rural Estates Residential) Zone.  Generally located on the east side of Bronco Street, 217 feet north of Tara Avenue within Spring Valley.  Approved 4-0

 

14.        VS-0981-08 – g s g Russell, llc:

VACATE AND ABANDON easements of interest to Clark County located between Quail Avenue (alignment) and Oquendo Road (alignment), and between the 215 Beltway and Seelinger Street (alignment) in a U-V (Urban Village - Mixed Use) Zone in the MUD-3 and CMA Design Overlay Districts within Spring Valley (description on file).  Approved 4-0

 

 

15.        VS-1050-08 – CHURCH PRESBYTERIAN SPRING:

VACATE AND ABANDON a portion of right-of-way being El Camino Street located between Post Road and Sobb Avenue in an R-E (Rural Estates Residential) (AE-60) Zone in the CMA Design Overlay District within Spring Valley (description on file).  Neighbors had asked County some years ago to abandon El Camino due to cut through traffic.  Approved 4-0

VACATE AND ABANDON easements of interest to Clark County located between Quail Avenue (alignment) and Oquendo Road (alignment), and between Seelinger Street (alignment) and Riley Street in a U-V (Urban Village - Mixed Use) Zone in the MUD-3 and CMA Design Overlay Districts within Spring Valley (description on file). Approved 4-0
