1.         UC-1142-08 (ET-0018-10) – BURROWS, SKIP:

USE PERMIT FIRST EXTENSION OF TIME to commence the increase in area of accessory structures.

WAIVERS OF DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS for the following: 1) reduced setbacks; and 2) increase the number of permitted vehicles for automobile hobby repair and restoration in conjunction with a single family residence on 1.2 acres in an R-E (Rural Estates Residential) Zone.  Generally located on the north side of Tara Avenue, 115 feet west of Jones Boulevard within Spring Valley.  Lb/mh/dr  Approved 5-0 with staff conditions to 7/22/2011

 

2.         UC-0028-10 – DURANGO MINI-STORAGE PARTNERS:

USE PERMIT for truck rental in conjunction with an existing mini-warehouse facility on 3.3 acres in a C-1 (Local Business) Zone.  Generally located on the east side of Durango Drive, 500 feet south of Edna Avenue within Spring Valley.  LB/mh/dr  Approved 5-0 with staff conditions

 

3.         WS-0026-10 – ORTEGA AVILA, JUAN:

WAIVER OF DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS to reduce the rear yard setback for an accessory structure in conjunction with an existing single family dwelling on 0.2 acres in an R-2 (Medium Density Residential) Zone.  Generally located on the north side of Iron Crow Avenue 270 feet west of El Capitan Way within Spring Valley.  sb/pb/dr  Denied 5-0

 

4.         WS-0034-10 – CHU, KWOK SUN:

WAIVERS OF DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS for the following: 1) reduce the side street setback; and 2) reduce the setback to a street for a patio cover in conjunction with a single family residence on 0.2 acres in an R-2 (Medium Density Residential) Zone.  Generally located on the northeast corner of Desert Heart Court and Rochelle Avenue within Spring Valley.  SB/mh/dr  Denied 4-0

WAIVER OF CONDITIONS of a zone change requiring single story buildings for an office and office/warehouse development on 18.3 acres in a C-P (Office and Professional) (AE-60) Zone and M-D (Designed Manufacturing) (AE-60) Zone in the CMA Design Overlay District.  Generally located on the north side of Teco Avenue and the west side of Pioneer Way within Spring Valley.  SS/dg/dr  Approved 5-0 with staff conditions

 

7.         WS-0037-10 – LONGFORD AT SOUTHERN HILLS, LLC AND LONGFORD SOUTHERN HILLS II, LLC:

WAIVER OF DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS to appeal an administrative application for an extension of time in lieu of an off-site permit in conjunction with a commercial development on 8.0 acres in a C-2 (General Commercial) Zone.  Generally located on the north and south sides of Sunset Road and the west side of Fort Apache Road within Spring Valley.  sb/pb/dr  1 year extension approved 5-0 with staff conditions
