A general question was raised about the
timing of these requests pending the major revision scheduled for next year.
The applicant stated they are ready to commence actual construction on all but
item #D within the next few months.

a detailed plan to semi-permanently locate an existing successful business at
this location. The plan is to move once-monthly to participate in “First
Friday” downtown with other mobile food trucks. Applicant had successfully
addressed staff concerns regarding parking by planning operations during the
non-business hours of the car wash at this location. They had also agreed to a
short-term review. Staff reported there were no violations or other
interactions between the vendor and the county outside of routine licensing
activities, all done properly and recommended approval. Two TAB members found
all of these adequate and supported approval. Three
TAB members opposed. Stated reasons were “a possible appearance of clutter” (2
members) and “it’s unfair to allow these mobile vendors when their competition
has to pay for brick and mortar locations and higher taxes, etc.” (1 member)
